THE GOSPEL AND THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS (2)

Isaiah 33:24 (LB, CEV), Matthew 9:2 (TPT)

The people of Israel will no longer say, “We are sick and helpless,” for the Lord will forgive them their sins and bless them.*The LORD will forgive your sins, and none of you will say, “I feel sick.” …some people brought a paraplegic man to him, … When Jesus perceived the strong faith within their hearts, he said to the paralyzed man, “My son, be encouraged, for your sins have been forgiven.”

Every evil and negative situation in the world was brought about by Adam’s sin, but thanks be to God that Jesus came as the Lamb of God to take away the sins of the world (John 1:29, Rom.5:17). While paying the penalty for sin, Jesus also provided God’s perfect solution to every evil and negative situation in the world.

When Jesus was wounded for our iniquities and bruised for our transgressions, He bore our griefs, carried our sorrows, paid for our peace, and healed us (Isa.53:4-5). Our bodies have been healed, we have been set free from the power of the devil, and we have been abundantly provided for, in addition to the forgiveness of our sins. According to 1 Peter 2:24, Jesus bore our sins on His body, and by His stripes we were healed.
In our second text, Jesus told the paralysed man that his sins were forgiven, and then he healed him. Beloved, I am pleased to inform you that because your sins have been forgiven, you are blessed, healed, and free, and the miracle you seek has already been granted. Because you have been forgiven, you no longer have any reason to be sick or helpless in any aspect of your life, as stated in our first text above. This is why people feel God’s power when they hear and believe the Gospel.

Faith Declaration:
Because my sins have been forgiven, I am healed, blessed, free, and I am aware of God’s glory and power in my life.
