The Grace of Christ and Our Glorious Inheritance
Revelation 5:9-12
And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God …; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels … and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was … thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
Foe us to experience and walk in the glorious inheritance that we have in God, we must remain conscious of the abundant grace of God that Christ has made available to us by virtue of His death, burial and resurrection. “For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift. For while the Law was given through Moses, grace (unearned, undeserved favor and spiritual blessing) and truth came through Jesus Christ” (John 1:16, AMPC).
Because of what Jesus has done for us, we have hope in this world and in the world to come. We have been redeemed unto God and we have been made kings and priests unto God to rule on the earth. Our text above lists seven wonderful things that Jesus received because of His death. Beloved, because Jesus died for you, it was for you that He received all this wonderful things. Right now, because of Jesus, God has given you power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessing. They are all part of the glorious inheritance you enjoy as a member of God’s family. As you receive them and declare them into your life, you will experience their manifestation in every area of your life.
Let the revelation of Christ dwell richly in you (Col.3:16). Be strong in the grace of God that is in Christ Jesus (2Tim.2:1). Apostle Paul said he worked very hard but the grace of God made him everything that he was (1Cor.15:10). It is only the revelation of God’s grace that can build you up and make you experience the manifestation of your glorious inheritance in God (Acts 20:32).
Prayer Focus:
Tell God that you desire to grow in your understanding and consciousness of His grace. Ask Him to fill you with the revelation of Christ.
