THE HEAVENS ARE ALWAYS OPENED OVER YOUR LIFE 2

Luke 3:21-22 (GNB), Matthew 17:5 (GNB)

After all the people had been baptized, Jesus also was baptized. While he was praying, heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit came down upon him … And a voice came from heaven, “You are my own dear Son. I am pleased with you.” *While he was talking, a shining cloud came over them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my own dear Son, with whom I am pleased—listen to him!”

Yesterday, we saw that just like in the life of Jesus, the heavens are always opened over our lives and two benefits of this are that, God always hears our prayers and we experience the supply of the Spirit. Another benefit of the open heavens we always enjoy is that we can always hear God’s voice. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice,” (John 10:27). Right now, God always speaks to you and you can hear His voice. God speaks to you through His word and through His Spirit.

We have received the Spirit of God so that we can know the deep things that are on the mind of God, (1Cor.2:9-12). As you study the Bible, God will speak to you and if you need wisdom concerning any matter, God will grant it to you abundantly, (James 1:5). All you need to do is ask and you shall receive. Do not doubt or waver.

Just like God did to Jesus, He will speak to you and remind you that you are His beloved son or daughter. By His Spirit, He will guide you into all truth and make you enjoy all your inheritance as God’s child. He will glorify Christ in your life, (John 16:13-15). The greatest thing God desires to reveal to us is Jesus. As we know Jesus, we know God more and we also know ourselves better because we are one with Him.

Prayer Focus:
Thank God that heaven is always open over your life and ask Him to reveal Jesus to you. Ask for wisdom where you need it.
