THE HEAVENS ARE ALWAYS OPENED OVER YOUR LIFE

Luke 3:21-22, John 4:34-35 (GNB)

Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, … *The one whom God has sent speaks God’s words, because God gives him the fullness of his Spirit. The Father loves his Son and has put everything in his power.

As a believer, you do not need to pray for the heavens to be opened over your life. The reason is now the heavens are always opened over your life. In our text above, the Bible does not tell us that Jesus prayed for the heavens to be opened. The Good News Bible says,“While he was praying, heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit came down upon him in bodily form like a dove.”Heaven was always opened over Jesus’ life and as He was praying, the Holy Spirit came and descended on Him.

Beloved, by your faith in Jesus, you have now been brought into the realm of perpetual open heavens. In fact, we are seated together in Christ in heavenly places, far above principalities and powers, (Eph.2:6, Eph.1:20-21). Right now, we no longer need someone to ‘go into heaven to bring Christ down’ to manifest Himself in our lives. All we need to do is to declare the revelation of Christ and we will experience His saving power and glory, (Rom.10:6-9).

Just like it was for Jesus, two benefits of heaven always being opened is that God always hears our prayers and we experience the operation of the Spirit in our lives. By prayer and the supply of the Spirit, we can always experience God’s empowerment and God’s saving power in our lives and situations, (Phil.1:19).

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you that because of Jesus, heaven is always open over my life. Right now, I receive the supply of your Spirit.
