THE HELP OF GOD IS ALWAYS SURE AND AVAILABLE

Psalms 46:1-3 (AMPC), Psalms 37:39-40 (GNB)

God is our Refuge and Strength [mighty and impenetrable to temptation], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas, Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult. *The LORD saves the righteous and protects them in times of trouble. He helps them and rescues them; he saves them from the wicked, because they go to him for protection.

Help refers to assistance and support. As children of God, it is important for us to always be conscious of the
fact that God wants to help us. He wants to provide us assistance and support at all times and in every area of our lives because He loves us so much. God never wants us to be stranded and helpless. The first thing that our first text above tells us about God’s divine help is that it is very present and well-proved. God’s help is always available and it is sure and trusted. God’s help does not depend on what is going on around you. No matter what is going on around you, God wants you to be sure and confident of His help.

When our first text above says, even though the earth changes and mountains are moved into the seas, it is
talking about times when things we felt were permanent and unshakeable begin to change and shake. No matter what changes and no matter what shakes or falls, don’t begin to think that God’s love and help is no longer possible and available to you.

Our first text above also speaks about when waters begin to roar and foam, that even mountains are scared
by the raging of the waters. When very fierce and terrible winds and storms cause massive waves and shakings and trembling around you, God’s love and divine help for you is still very present and sure. The fact that the mountains or things and people that you thought were strong and stable begin to fear and shake at the sight of the terrible situation does not mean that you should begin to doubt and become unsure of God’s great love and divine help available to you. Remaining conscious and sure of God’s divine help, will make you reach out to God for His help and you will experience His help.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you because your love and help for me are sure and always available. I choose to believe in your love and your help right now.
