THE LORD HAS NEED OF IT

MATTHEW 21:1-3 (NKJV)
Now when they drew near Jerusalem, …, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her. Loose them and bring them to Me. And if anyone says anything to you, you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of them,’ and immediately he will send them ..

One of the ways we acknowledge the Lordship of Jesus Christ is by submitting our lives and everything we are and have unto Him. “If we live, it is for the Lord that we live, and if we die, it is for the Lord that we die. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. For Christ died and rose to life in order to be the Lord of the living and of the dead,” (Rom. 14:8-9, GNB).

The Bible says all things were made by Christ and for Christ, (Col.1:15-16). If this is true then it means that whatever is not yielded to Christ and whatever is not honouring Christ in the way it is being used or done is not fulfilling its true purpose. All things were made for God’s pleasure, (Rev.4:11) and what pleases God the most is Christ and everything that is submitted and aligned to Christ, (Matt.17:5). God wants to use everything about you for His purpose and glory. Truly acknowledge Christ as Lord in your heart (1Pet.3:15a) and then be sensitive to God’s leading on how you should use or what you should do with everything about you. Surrender your body, your time, your talents, your family, your resources, your mind, your ideas, your smile, your organization, your ministry and all things unto Him. Just like He used the donkey and its colt and just like He used Peter’s boat (Luke 5:3), Jesus will use all that you surrender to Him for His glory.

PRAYER:
FATHER, MY LIFE IS FOR YOUR GLORY. I SURRENDER ALL I HAVE AND ALL I AM TO YOU. MAY IT ALL BE USED FOR THE GLORY OF JESUS.
