THE LORD WILL KEEP AND PRESERVE YOU
Numbers 6:22-26, Isaiah 54:17a
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them, The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. *No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper…
In a world of so much uncertainty, insecurity and corruption, we are tempted to fear and doubt the possibility of our lives, our children, our loved ones, our endeavours, achievements and other concerns being safe and preserved from all kinds of evil in the world today. But God wants us to be confident in His willingness and ability to keep and preserve us as well as all that we are connected to and concerned about.
When Pharaoh was out to kill all male children born to the Israelites, God used two Egyptian midwives to preserve the lives of the Israelite children(Exo.1:15-21). God also gave Jochebed, Moses’ mother, the
wisdom and courage to preserve Moses’ life after he was born. Even when Jochebed could no longer hide Moses, God divinely orchestrated her steps and Pharaoh’s daughter found Moses in a basket on the river. She miraculously hired Jochebed to raise and take care of Moses for her. God knows how to preserve you and your seed for His purpose in His own special way.
When Elijah thought he was the only prophet left in the land of Israel, God assured him that He had preserved seven thousand others (1Kings 19:14 & 18). Beloved, no weapon formed against you shall prevail.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank you for your divine protection and preservation over my life and my loved ones.
