THE LORD WILL STRENGTHEN AND RESCUE YOU

2Corinthians 1:8b-10 (NLT)

…We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.

You may be going through a situation now and it may seem like you will never get out of it. In our text above, Apostle Paul tells us of how he went through a similar situation, but God rescued him from it. Beloved, God is going to rescue you from that situation.

One reason you may be feeling hopeless is that; humanly speaking, you may have tried everything you know to do, without any hope of improvement as you desire it. Like Apostle Paul said in our text above, God wants you to stop relying on yourself, what you have, whom you know or anything else. God wants you to rely fully on Him. As you keep your eyes and trust in God, His strength will fill your life and His power will lift you out of that situation. Fix your eyes on God’s great promises and love for you. God loves you too much to leave you in that situation. Trust in Him and don’t give up. He wants to strengthen and rescue you even more than you desire it.

When Peter was walking on water towards Jesus and he began to sink, he cried out to Jesus for help and Jesus saved him from drowning, (Matt.14:25-31). That situation will not swallow you up. Stop thinking or speaking negatively. That danger you are worried about will not materialize. God will rescue you and deliver you from that situation.

Prayer Focus:
Thank God for His great love for you and tell Him your trust is in Him. Ask Him to rescue you from that situation.
