The Transfer of the Spirit of Leadership

Numbers 11:16-17(LB), Deuteronomy 34:9 (NIV)
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Summon before me seventy of the leaders of Israel; bring them to the Tabernacle, to stand there with you. I will come down and talk with you there, and I will take of the Spirit which is on you and will put it upon them also; they shall bear the burden of the people along with you, so that you will not have the task alone. *Now Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him. So the Israelites listened to him and did what the LORD had commanded Moses.

Our first text above shows up that God did not want Moses to bear the burden of Leadership alone. God therefore took the Spirit of Leadership that was on Moses and poured it upon seventy other leaders. The the same way, I see God taking the same grace, anointing and passion that He has given you as a leader and poured it into the lives of others under you so that they can bear the burden with you. By the Spirit of God, they will see the vision the same way you see it and they will run with it the same way you are running with it.

It was not Moses who went to beg God for this. God himself wanted it and God himself made it happen. I see God doing the same for you. As this happens, there will be an increase and expansion of your influence, effectiveness and efficiency. In our second text above, we see that Joshua received the Spirit of wisdom because Moses laid hands on him. As you lay hands on those under you and as you interact with them, God will cause a transfer of the Spirit of Leadership as well as every grace, favour and ability they need to run with the work and take the work higher and further.

There were two of the seventy elders, Eldad and Medad who could not make it to the place where the others are gathering for God to do the transfer of the Spirit of Leadership from Moses. God however made them still receive the Spirit where they were, (Num.11:26). That is how much God wanted to make sure that the Spirit of Leadership was transferred into them. God can transfer the anointing even over the airwaves or the internet, especially when He sees willing and ready hearts and vessel. I see great expansions happening.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I ask for atransfer of the Spirit of Leadership right now into my life and into the lives of everyone working with me.
