THE NATURE OF THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS

Acts 10:36 (KJV, GNB), Matthew 28:18 (KJV, GNB)

The word which God sent unto…Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) *You know the message he sent to…Israel, proclaiming the Good News of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. *And Jesus came…unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. *Jesus drew near and said to them, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.

It is very important that we understand and acknowledge the nature and dimensions of the Lordship of Jesus. Jesus is not just ‘a lord’, He is the Lord. He is Lord of all. Talking about Jesus, Revelation 17:14a says,“These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings…” The word, Lord here is supreme authority. That is why He always overcomes. Jesus is not just an authority. All authority in heaven and on earth have been given unto Him. Every other authority is under His dominion and authority.

All power and authority have been given unto Jesus. Therefore, His Lordship and dominion extend to all things, all beings, all forces and all situations. Isaiah 9:6 says, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” The word, ‘Prince’ here is the highest ranking ruler or authority and the word, ‘Peace’ here is ‘shalom-shalom’ meaning safety, wellness, wholeness, health and prosperity. Jesus is the head of all principality and power, (Col.2:10). He is the Principality in charge of ensuring you experience the peace, prosperity and wholeness of God in
every area of your life.

Faith Declaration:
Jesus is Lord of all things, all beings, all forces and all situations. Right now, I receive the peace and victory of Jesus.
