The Path of Good Success

Joshua 1:8-9 (AMP)
This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success. Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

In Christ, God has made adequate provision for you to experience His abundance and success. God’s divine power has given you all that pertains to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that called you to glory and virtue (2Pet.1:3). God’s power is at work in you and by this power, He will do exceeding and abundantly more than you can ask or think (Eph.3:20). God is at work in you, making you willing and able to do His will (Phil.2:13). There is absolutely no reason why you should fail.

Now, you must remember that success in life is measured by our assignment or that which God has commissioned you to do. Success is not measured by comparing yourself with others. For, Joshua, success was bringing the children of Israel into the promised Land. That is what God had called him to do. Good success begins with knowing what God wants you to do. You also need to be mindful of the provisions that God has made available to you in order to do that which you have been called to do.

Your primary tool for success in God’s assignment for your life is God’s word. As you hold on to the promises and provisions in God’s word for your life, you will succeed. You will be all that God has said you will be. Like the rudder of a ship, your tongue guides the direction of your life (James 3:4-5). Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Matt.12:34). As you fill your heart with God’s word and you speak God’s word into your life, your life will go in the direction that God’s wants you to go. You will have good success. You will be like a tree planted by rivers of water, you will bring forth fruit in season, your leaves will not wither and whatever you do will prosper (Psa.1:3). You must also be conscious of the fact that God is with you. This consciousness will cause you to stand with boldness.

Action Point:
Ask God to help you stay focused on the assignment He has given you, Declare God’s word of strength and victory into your life.
