THE POWER AND GLORY OF CHRIST’S SUFFERING AND DEATH

1Peter 1:10-12

Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ … did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow! …it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost … which things the angels desire to look into.

As a believer, you must never get too casual or familiar with the revelation of Christ’s suffering, death and resurrection. Rather, always humble yourself and study, search and listen to God as He unveils glorious mysteries to you from this glorious revelation. It may not be a very popular or spectacular revelation to many but like Naaman, as you dip yourself inside this water of revelation, you experience unbelievable wonders and transformations in your life, (2Kings 5:1-14).

The revelation of the suffering, death, burial and resurrection of Christ is the major foundation upon which our faith in Christ is built. Therefore as it fills your heart, all that Christ has done for you will be more real to you. Your faith in Christ will be strengthened and your life will be filled with the glory, power and blessings of the death of Christ.

According to our text above, long ago in the Old Testament, the Spirit of God was stirring the hearts of prophets to search and enquire about the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow and when they found it they began to prophesy about the grace that would come to us. Wow! What a great privilege we have to be the beneficiaries of the grace and glory of the sufferings and death of Christ. Our text above says even angels long to look into these things. They desire insight and understanding into this revelation because it is beyond what they can ever imagine or fathom. God will not only grant you the revelation of Christ’s suffering and death for you, He will manifest the power and glory of Christ suffering and death in your life.

Faith Declaration:
I am a privileged beneficiary of the glory and grace of Christ’s suffering and death. I increase in the revelation and experience of them.
