THE PRICE HAS BEEN PAID FOR YOUR HEALING

“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 (KJV)

Notice here that the phrase: “we are healed,” is used in the present tense. But when Peter was speaking about it in 1 Peter 2:24 he said: “… by whose stripes ye were healed” (KJV). Isaiah was looking towards when Jesus will come in the future and was speaking of the benefits of our salvation. He also said in Is 53:4: “Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows…” (KJV).

Christ is the solution to any depression that you may be going through. As long as your focus is Christ, you are healed of all forms of sorrow and depression. Are you having any disease, pain, or sorrow right now, I declare that it is gone in the name of Jesus.

The reason why Jesus came was also to take away our griefs and sorrow. God knows how important the condition of our mind is and already made provision for it. So, we have no business with depression and sadness. The chastisement of our peace was upon him. The word peace comes from the Hebrew word “Shalom” which means complete, nothing broken, nothing missing; complete soundness, prosperity and abundance. Is there any area that you encountering sorrow? I declare it over in the name of Jesus.

This is why you should rejoice because Jesus took care of it. Jesus has already paid the price. You had it before but He came and paid the complete price. If the price is paid why are you still carrying the burden? That is why we need understanding because knowledge without
understanding will result in frustration. Understanding is comprehension, application or interpretation of the knowledge. When you fully understand the provision that Christ has made for your salvation, then you will not be consumed by depression or sorrow. You will know that the problem is no longer your own and the owner has taken care of it already. So, just begin to rejoice.
