THE SAVING POWER OF GOD’S GRACE

Ephesians 2:4-5, Titus 3:5, Titus 2:11 (KJV, TPT)

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) *Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; *For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, *God’s marvelous grace has manifested in person, bringing salvation for everyone.

The greatest and most important manifestation of God’s grace to any man is the grace that brings salvation and restores us into relationship and fellowship with God. The word salvation refers to God’s intervention, rescue and deliverance in our lives. By God’s grace, God saves us from sin and He also saves us from every situation that is not His will for our lives. In Christ we have Abundant Life and we have hope; both now and in eternity. In John 17:4, Jesus said Eternal Life is to know God; and knowing here refers to having a relationship and fellowshipping with God. We now have God’s kind of Life in us. This is why Jesus came to suffer, die and resurrect.

Our salvation is a gift that we must forever remain grateful to God for. It is not because we deserved it that God saved us. Our works would never have been able to save us. If God did not send Jesus to suffer and die for us we would have been without hope and without God. It is because of His great love and mercy that He freely came to our rescue to bring us into this covenant relationship with Himself and to keep manifesting His saving power in our lives.

All God expects from us is to have faith in Him. In His grace and mercy He also made provision for us to be restored back into fellowship with Him if peradventure we fall out of fellowship with Him because of sin. The gospel is about this grace that God showed us in Christ, (Gal.1:6). We must not be ashamed of this gospel because it is the power of God that saves, (Rom.1:16). It saves, heals and delivers from sin and every kind of evil. The saving power of God’s grace is unlimited and it is our hope for every area of our lives.

Prayer Focus:
Thank God for the saving power of His grace and receive His intervention in every area of your life right now. Pray for souls to be saved.
