Live like Jesus

Colossians 3:17(AMPC, NLT), 1John 2:6 (KJV, GNB)
And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him. *And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. *He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. *If we say that we remain in union with God, we should live just as Jesus Christ did.

God expects us to live like Jesus. That is why He has given us the same life that Jesus has, (1John 5:11). The Bible says Christ is our life, (Col.3:4). Jesus is our model and our standard in all things. God wants us to grow up into Christ in all things, (Eph.4:12). God wants our lives to be conformed in Christ, (Rom.8:29).

One of the ways we can live like Jesus is by saying and doing everything we say and do by His authority. That is what it means to say or do everything in His Name. Don’t only mentioned the name of Jesus. Say what you say as if it is Jesus saying it and do what you do as if it is Jesus doing it. You have His life and authority now and it is Christ that is living through you. You are His capable representative and ambassador. He has confidence in you and He has sent you into the world just as the Father has sent Him, (John 20:21). Don’t let Him down.

To talk and behave like Jesus, we must think like Jesus thinks. The Bible says we have the mind of Christ, (1Cor.2:16). Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (Matt.12:34) and like the rudder of a ship, our tongue affects the direction our lives go. To think like Christ, you must fill your heart with the revelation of Christ. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, (Col.3:16). Fill your heart with the revelation of who Christ is and all He has done for you. Declare them boldly into your life. When you read the Bible and see how Jesus lived His life and all that He did, remember that you are in Him. See yourself in Jesus doing the very same things that He did and saying the very same things that He said. As we keep our focus on Jesus, the Holy Spirit transforms us from glory to glory into His image, (2Cor.3:18).

Faith Declaration:
I live like Jesus because I am one with Him. The same life that is in Jesus is in me. I think, talk and behave like Jesus always
