THE TYPE OF VIRTUE THAT YOU ENJOY

Luke 6:19, Mark 5:30, Acts 5:15-16
…the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all. *…Jesus…knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? *…they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude out of the cities… bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.

Many believers are conversant with the story of the woman with the issue of blood and how many people tried to touch Jesus so that virtue could flow from Him into their lives. As a child of God, the type of virtue that you have access to, is different from what the woman with the issue of blood and the multitude in our first text above, were trying to experience. You occupy a different and better spiritual position from them all. Jesus said the least of us in the kingdom is greater than John the Baptist and every man who lived before him, (Matt.11:11).

Unlike those people who were struggling and trying to touch Jesus so that virtue can flow out to them, you are in Him and you are one with Him. The same virtue that flows in Jesus also flows in you right now. That is why Jesus said you shall do the works He did and even greater works, (John 14:12). It is because Peter understood this that he could heal the lame man by the beautiful gate and his shadow could heal the sick.

Virtue refers to excellence, as well as good qualities and abilities. In our first two texts, the word for virtue is ‘dunamis’ meaning miraculous/explosive power. You do not only enjoy the virtue of Christ for healing, you enjoy His virtue (excellence, good qualities and abilities) for every area of life. God has called you to a life of glory and virtue, (2Pet.1:3). Your life is so full of the glory and virtue of Christ that it is overflowing and dripping from your life. You are swimming in the virtue, glory, blessing and anointing of Christ. Every part of your life is full of glory and virtue. Every part of your life is blessed and anointed. You are a distributor of the virtue of Christ. Every sickness, weakness or bad quality or trait in your life is swallowed up by the virtue of Christ right now.

Prayer Focus:
Rejoice and thank God for the virtue of Christ you enjoy because you are seated in Him. Declare that your life is full of virtue and glory.
