“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”John 16:33 KJV
On this resurrection morning, I have come to remind you of the fact that the victory is already won. This is a very critical time in the history of mankind, and I see a lot of believers fainting, growing weary and discouraged as if God has fallen off His throne. Beloved, God is seated laughing at the devil. He is not scratching His head wondering: “How am I going to foil this new trick that the devil has pulled off on my children?” No! He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh (Psalm 2:4 KJV). Why is He laughing? He is laughing because the victory is already won.
Jesus is not going to go to the cross again. Today, we are celebrating His resurrection and reminding ourselves of all that He has made available to us. He declared to us that all power in heaven and earth have been given to Him. The enemy we are contending with is a lion that has no teeth – all he can do is to roar and frighten you – but when you know who you are in Christ, you will stand firm in the victory Jesus has made available to us.
Remember what the ancient prophet of God, Isaiah said in the book of Isaiah 54:16-17:
Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work, and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper….”(KJV).
In other words, everything you see is God’s creation, even the devil is God’s creation and therefore He has no choice but to bow at the mention of the name of Jesus. Yes, he will try to raise his ugly head, to test your knowledge of the word; but when he comes, your part is to stand and enforce the victory because there is no divination against you or any enchantment against you! Your victory is guaranteed.
