THE WORD IS AN INCORRUPTIBLE SEED

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever”. 1 Peter 1:23 (KJV)

The word of God is incorruptible; therefore anyone born of the word is also incorruptible. Our text scripture says, being born again not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible by the word of God, which lives and abides forever. This means that you are indestructible. The word is incorruptible and whenever it lands on something that is dead, it turns alive! It is referred to as the word of God which liveth and abideth forever, it’s not temporary.

When you understand that you’re born of an incorruptible seed, no matter what’s attempting to corrupt your life or to destroy your life will never succeed. Life will always swallow death, life will always consume death. The same spirit of him that raised up Jesus dwells in us and quickens our mortal bodies. You know what Jesus told us in the parable of the sower (Mark 4:14). The word of God is like a seed, the sower sowed the word. The word is what we sow. Every time you speak God’s word, and every time you read God’s word, you are receiving seed into your spirit, the seed will produce after its kind.

The sower sowed the word and the word is incorruptible, and because it is incorruptible, what he sows must produce. That is why you should be addicted to the word. Every time you read the Bible, find out what God is saying concerning you, and don’t be intimidated to say it. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, I am a new creation, old things are passed away and all things have become new. I cannot fail, I’m more than a conqueror and I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. I am born of God, I am a world overcomer, and greater is He that is in me than he that’s in the world. Let that be your declaration and every time you speak it into your life, you’re assimilating the word that will produce the incorruptible seed. You are sowing incorruptible seed into your life that must produce.

PUT YOUR EAR AT THE MOUTH OF GOD

“Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise”. John 5:19 (KJV)

Beloved, if you want to prosper and continue to prosper in whatsoever you are doing, you have to get into the Word. The bible says blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful, But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law does he meditate day and night (Psalm 1:1-2). When he does that and when he receives the word he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth fruit in its season. Its leaves also shall not wither, whatsoever he doeth it shall prosper.

If you want to prosper in your business, in ministry, in your marital life, or in whatever area you want to prosper, get addicted to the word. The Bible says in John 6:33 “for my word is spirit and life”. In other words, God is saying, life is in the word and not man’s opinion, not in what people are saying around you, not the word you read on billboards or in what social media is saying, but what God says. So, this is the time to put our ears in the mouth of God. The other day they asked Jesus what is the secret of your success? He said I’ve learnt to put my ears in the mouth of God. John 5:17, “Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work”. In other words, I cannot on myself do anything. If you want to prosper, come and get into the word!

The psalmist said, “one thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple” (Psalm 27:4). Look at that! He says that’s my desire. Once I go there and put ears in His mouth and receive instruction, I know that everything changes because the entrance of God’s word gives light and gives understanding to the simple.
