THE WORD OF GOD CAN BE TRUSTED
“By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,” Hebrews 11:17 (KJV)
Isaac, Abraham’s son grew up to be a young man full of energy. One day God came to his father and said Abraham I want you to take your son, your only son, the one you love, and sacrifice him unto me. What an instruction! There was no ambiguity about it. No other child but Isaac fitted the bill. But guess what, Abraham obeyed. He not only obeyed, but he obeyed immediately.
Abraham rose early in the morning, took Isaac, and saddled his ass. He took two of his young men with him, he took the wood for the burnt offering and went to the place which God had told him. Just as he was about to sacrifice Isaac, the angel of the Lord stopped him. When Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, there was already a provision for the sacrifice – a ram caught in a thicket.
Beloved, think of it, why was Abraham able to obey immediately? The answer is simple: he knew that God can be trusted. Child of God, the God we serve can be trusted. You do not need a plan B when dealing with Him. His word is true and will surely come to pass.
Are you encountering pain, challenge, and difficulties and you believe God has not moved on your behalf? Remember that God moves in the realm of the Spirit. And it is when you latch on to the Spirit that circumstances change, and you will be able to dominate situations. Situations will not change until you accept that the Spirit realm rules and controls this earthly realm.
When you act contrary to this revelation, you are saying the natural is superior to the spirit realm, and that’s not true. The Word of God is Spirit. “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63 KJV)
That is what makes the Word supreme over any situation. As a believer, you are called to trust wholeheartedly in the infallible and errorless Word of God.
