THE WORD WORKS

“My son, attend to my words; incline thy ear to my saying. Let them not depart from thine eyes. Keep them in the midst of thy heart, for they are life unto those who find them and health to all their flesh.” Proverbs 4:20-22 KJV

There are different kinds of life: The plant life, the animal life, the human life and God’s own kind of life. God’s Word produces God’s kind of life and that is what believers have. The Word of God is not only life to those that find it, but also health to their flesh.
The word ‘health’ in Hebrew means ‘medicine.’ In other words, the Word of God is life and medicine to their flesh. When you speak God’s word to yourself, it keeps your health, adjusts your life and deals with certain things in your life.

I know a Preacher’s wife who had cancer and was given few days to live. She got into the Word, picking about forty scriptures and spoke them to herself every morning, afternoon and night with all diligence. After sometime, she went back to the hospital to check and every cancerous cell had disappeared! What God does for one is a revelation of what He can do for another. Speak it to yourself because it is medicine. Remember that confession brings possession.

Don’t speak the wrong things. Rather call the things that be not as though they were. Declare your expectation. Expect good to happen to you every morning. Why? Because you are a child of God and God loves you. Expect that the situation will turn out right for you. It doesn’t matter what is happening around, your case is different. If it means closing your eyes around you and speaking your expectations, do so and don’t get distracted.

You may be trusting God for a child and suddenly you see blood all over the place. Look at that blood and say: “It is well.” If they fail to sign your contract paper, just come back home, not with frustration and depression, but with an attitude of gratitude knowing that it is well.
