THERE IS AN OPPORTUNITY IN EVERY ADVERSITY

1Corinthians 10:13 (GNB), James 1:2 (TPT)

Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. But God keeps his promise, and he will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; …he will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide you with a way out. …when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can!

There is nobody that looks forward to experiencing difficult, negative and challenging situations, however, as long as we are on this earth they are quite inevitable. Job said the days of man are full of trouble, (Job 14:1). God wants us to know that even in the midst of our trials, temptations and challenging situations, His strength, His provision, His promises and His ever-abiding and manifest presence are always available to us. Jesus said, “…In the world, ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world,” (John 16:33). God will prepare a table before you in the midst of those situations, (Psa.23:5-6). In all those situations you are more than conquerors, (Rom.8:37). God will deliver you from every affliction you face (Psa.34:19). All things will work together for your good, (Rom.8:28).

Do not allow what you may face to discourage you or make you give up. There is an opportunity in every adversity and as you keep your head up, you will see the great opportunity God is providing for you in the midst of that adversity. Change your perspective of the situation. See it as an opportunity to experience the power and the glory of God and an opportunity to be prepared and positioned to fulfill God’s purpose for your life. Let this make you rejoice and count it all joy. When men are cast down, you shall say there is a lifting up, (Job 22:29).

Faith Declaration:
Every adversity I face is an opportunity for me to experience God’s power and glory and grow in wisdom and character.
