THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD

“And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt.” Exodus 12:13 (KJV)

Moses was raised to deliver God’s people. When God sent him to Pharaoh, He told him Pharaoh will not yield to him because by nature an oppressor does not give up easily. You have to demand your right.

God sent all the plagues against Pharaoh to prove that their gods were nothing but idols and that there is only one true God. You know the story, Pharaoh refused to let them go until the last plague. God gave Moses instructions in Exodus 12 that every family should get a lamb without a blemish and any family that could not afford one should pair with another family and the blood of the lamb was to be put on the doorpost and God said clearly when I see the blood, I will pass over you (Ex. 12:13). That is the power in the blood.

Beloved, there is power in the blood. Stop and think about it, if the blood of lambs was able to deliver Israel, how much more the blood of Jesus Christ? While the priests in the Old Testament offered sacrifices again and again, in the New Testament, the blood of Jesus Christ was shed once and for all and it speaks eternally.  Hebrews 9:12 (KJV) makes it categorically clear “… but by his blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” There is power in the blood of Jesus Christ that destroys the yokes.

Never take the blood of Jesus Christ for granted. Stop and think about the victory that this blood has made available to you and enforce your victory. Never sleep over your rights. Jesus paid the full price by His blood and as such, all that He died for is available to you. Today, take time to meditate on the power in the blood and let it become rhema to you.
