“For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.” 1 Thessalonians 1:5 (KJV) One of the things you cannot remove from the word of God is the power that is inherent in it. The word of God carries in itself enough power to bring things to pass. That is why I will always say that whatever the word cannot give to you: 1. You don’t need it and 2. It doesn’t exist. The word of God is complete in itself, it does not need the help of any man. Unfortunately, most believers pay lip service to this truth. In one breath they say the word of God is all-powerful, in another breath, they are thinking of plan B. In other words, what if the word fails? Beloved, settle it in your heart that the word of God cannot fail. Heaven and earth may pass away, but not a jot of the word of God. Everything God has spoken concerning you will come to pass. However, it will happen in God’s time.
This is where many believers miss it. They are anxious and want the intervention NOW, they forget that they are dealing with God who knows the end from the beginning and knows the right time for the blessing. Take a minute to think: what if Elizabeth and Zacharias had a baby a soon as they got married, would he have been John the Baptist? Most probably not, because for him to be John the Baptist, he must come just before Jesus as a forerunner. So, you see, to John and Elizabeth we have prayed but God is not answering; but to God, there is a specific time for that child to be born to fulfil the purpose of a forerunner. The gospel that we preach in this Ministry does not come in word only, it comes in power and the power inherent in the word will bring it to pass. Never forget this: there is power in the word of God. Further Reading: 1 Thessalonians 1:1-10Daily Bible Reading: Morning- Exodus 27-28; Evening- Matthew 21:1-22
