TIME IS LIFE-1
Dear Reader,
Welcome to the month of August, where God will be doing a new thing for you and all that pertains to you, in Jesus’ name! This month, we shall be examining an interesting topic that focuses on time and life, titled Time is Life.
Time is a plan or an agenda of when something should happen or take place. Time is a divine deposit in the life of every living thing; human beings, plants and animals. From conception, the time of every living thing starts to count, which is a free gift from God. You don’t have to pay for time; it is part of your packaging for profitable existence here on earth.
We either kill time or save time, and we are either robbed and get robbed of time. We lose time, yet, we have all the time in the world. However, no one is powerful enough to stop the march of time or slow it down. Time is life! We may not be able to influence the flow of time, but we can get the best out of it. God created night and day to differentiate time, and time can be measured in a second, minute, hour, day, week, month and year.
Life is the existence of an individual human being or animal. Everything about it is made of time slots, which are added to make a complete whole. There is time for everything. The Bible says: He hath made every thing beautiful in his time… (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
A wise man said, “Time is money.” So, the more time is effectively utilised, the more profit derived from it; on the other hand, the more time is not maximised, the more losses recorded. Being the master of your time means getting more done, staying energised, and doing more things you enjoy.

The key is not in spending time but in investing it. God’s Word advises we utilise our time wisely because our day-to-day activities are filled with distractions that get in our way, thereby hindering us from utilising our time maximally. Jesus said: I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work (John 9:4). Do not waste your time, so you don’t look back with regret tomorrow.
ESSENTIALS ON TIME
- God is not bound by Time. This is proof that God invented time to help our understanding and better appreciate this gift He has given to us. The Word says: For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night (Psalm 90: 4; 2 Peter 3: 8).
- It is an Essential Commodity. Ouractivity on earth requires time for accomplishment. In other words, without time, nothing gets done; it evolves around time, 24 hours a day.
- Time is a Treasure, and it is Costly. Like rubies or costly pearls, time should be treasured and not joked with. It is something you have and can be used to your advantage. Learn to value every single moment.
- Time Can’t Be Stored. You can’t store time because time waits for no one.
- Time Accommodates Everything. You can always create time for anything. Everything that happens requires time for its accomplishment (Ecclesiastes 3: 1-11).
There is a right time for everything on the earth. Therefore, to utilise your time maximally and meaningfully, you need the help of God. To experience the help from above, you need to be born again. If you are not born again, please say this prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. From today, Lord Jesus, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now, I am Born Again.
