TRANSFORMING YOUR SPHERE OF INFLUENCE

Ephesians 1:10 (GNB), Colossians 1:15-16

This plan, which God will complete when the time is right, is to bring all creation together, everything in heaven and on earth, with Christ as head. *Christ is the visible likeness of the invisible God. He is the first-born Son, superior to all created things. For through him God created everything in heaven and on earth,…. God created the whole universe through him and for him.

God’s ultimate plan is for all things to conform to Christ. This includes every sphere of influence in society. God wants everything that is done in politics/government, business, family, education, sports, entertainment, media, the church, health and all spheres of influence to conform and align with Christ.

This must be our utmost aim and desire in our spheres of influence. For this to happen, we must preach the Gospel of Christ to people in our sphere of influence. It is not enough for us to use our lives as examples to influence people. People can only be genuinely transformed by God when they receive the life of Christ. This is where the real newness can begin to spring forth from their lives. We must therefore be deliberate about preaching the Gospel of Christ to people in our sphere of influence. We must desire and pray for souls to be saved and by the help of the Spirit, we must be ready to use creative ways and maximize every opportunity to preach the Gospel. We must be ready to labour until Christ is formed in them.

Jesus wants us to use His power and authority to make disciples for Him in every sphere of influence, by teaching them all He has commanded us, (Matt.28:18-20). We must disciple people in our sphere of influence to know and walk fully in the ways of Christ.

Prayer Focus:
Pray for souls to be saved and ask God to use you and other believers to preach the Gospel in your sphere of influence.
