True Riches 2
2 Corinthians 8:9, Philippians 4:19 (NLT, LB), 1 Corinthians 1:5 (GNB)
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. *And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. *And it is he who will supply all your needs from his riches in glory because of what Christ Jesus has done for us. *For in union with Christ you have become rich in all things, including all speech and all knowledge.
One of the things we studied yesterday is that God’s definition of being rich far exceed having material things. When our first text above says that Jesus became poor so that through His poverty you might become rich, the word rich there refers to that which manifested for us following Jesus’ suffering and death on the cross for all our sins to be forgiven and for us to be saved. That richness refers to God’s abundance and sufficiency for every area of your life. It is that which can overflow into every area of your life and overflow into the lives of others. It is that which will cause you to live like God both now and in eternity.
Because of what Jesus has done for you, you have become rich in His glory. You are enriched with God’s abundance in every area of your life (spirit, soul and body). You can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. You can fulfil God’s will and purpose for your life. You are complete in Him (Col.2:10). It is from these riches in glory that God supplies all your needs. The more conscious you are of the riches of Christ you have received, the more you will experience the supply of God in every area of your life. As you let the revelation of Christ dwell in you richly (Col.3:16), you will not only become more conscious of the riches of glory you have in Christ; you will also become unstoppable. Ephesians 3:16 (TPT) says, “And I pray that he would unveil within you the unlimited riches of his glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with his divine might and explosive power.”
Faith Declaration:
I have God’s abundance and fullness overflowing in my life. By the glory of Christ, I am enriched in all areas of my life.
