TRUST GOD FOR A MIRACLE

“But the angel of the Lord said unto him; fear not, Zacharias; for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elizabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shall call his name John”.Luke 1:13   KJVBeloved, if you look at the circumstances surrounding the birth of Christ, they are characterized by miracles. In Luke 1:5-7, the bible says, “There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia, and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord, blameless. And they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years”. This man was a priest, a pastor or if you like, call him a Bishop. The fact is that he was of the priesthood order. Bringing it home, you can say they were people who were closer to God. These were clean people, having no sin.If the Bible calls you blameless, then you are truly blameless. Yet it had ceased to be with them in the manner that one could have a child. How does that grab you? They loved God with all their hearts. They served God. They were committed to the ordinances of God. They were dedicated and faithful. They served and did everything within their power. Yet they had no child. In all of these, Zachariah never at any time allowed his situation to determine how he would serve God. Never! He had needs and desires that had not been met but he kept on serving in the temple and carrying out his assignment. The modern Christian will say that God has disappointed me.Beloved, the bible is so complete that we can always draw from it, because there are different examples of people who went through a lot of things that you cannot really explain. When things happen to you as a child of God and you cannot explain them, don’t run your mouth. Just keep on trusting God, knowing that your Redeemer lives. God will come through for you. And I will hear your testimony.Further Reading: Luke 1:5-24; Romans 8:28-39Daily Bible Reading: Morning- Isaiah 28-29; Evening- Philippians 3
