Truth vs. Facts

Romans 3:4, Numbers 23:19, 2 Corinthians 5:7, John 14:6, John 8:31-32
…let God be true, but every man a liar;… *God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? *(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) *Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. *Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

What things have you come to accept as true in your life? Do you realize that the fact that something bad may be happening to everyone around you does not mean that it will happen to you? The Bible says, “A thousand may fall dead beside you, ten thousand all round you, but you will not be harmed” (Psa.91:7, GNB). Do not be moved by what you see, feel, smell, hear or taste. Because you have put your faith in Jesus, you are different. You are a new creature, (2Cor.5:17). You are a new specie of being. You have the life of Christ. As Christ is, so are you in this world (1 John 4:17). Whatever is true about Christ is true about you and whatever is not true about Christ is not true about you. Your reality is different and higher than the people of this world. So are our perspective and what we believe.

The fact was that Goliath was physically bigger and stronger than David, but the truth was that by his relationship with God, David maintained the advantage. No matter what any man or your situation says, God that has the final say. Lamentations 3:37 says, “Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?” The Good News Bible added, “The will of the Lord alone is always carried out.” We are assured that God works all things according to the counsel of His own will (Eph.1:11b). Whose report will you believe? In your life, accept only what God says about you as truth (John 16:13). As you do this, you will never be caged or limited by any situation in your life. It is only as you know and align yourself with what Jesus has done for you and what He says about you that you will walk in absolute freedom and experience the will of God for your life.

Faith Declaration:
I am a new creature. I am just like Christ. Only what is true about Christ is true about me. God’s truth is my reality
