Two Needless Questions

“Therefore, do not be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Matthew 6:34

Are you an “if only” person? If only people are worried about yesterday and are filled with needless anxiety. Or, are you a “what if” person? What if this happens, or doesn’t happen? You are trying to live in the future. If only people dwell on yesterday, and what if people live on the basis of the worries and fears of tomorrow. Jesus says, get your priorities right. Put the Kingdom of God first, and all other things will be added according to our ability to handle what He entrusts to us.

If we are in the providential care of God, and God loves us with a love that never lets go, worry is totally irrational. God is before us, behind us, at our right hand, at our left hand, above us, below us, and God – in Christ – is in us.
