Memorise: Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. Proverbs 16:3

Bible Reading: Luke 10:17-22

17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

Bible Reading In One Year: Psalms 31-33; Acts 21:15-40

MESSAGE:

The type of authority which God has given to us is unparalleled. As children of God, we are unique in every sense. According to our Bible reading for today, all the power of the enemy is subject to us. The seventy disciples did not know their worth until they came back to report saying even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. (Luke 10:17). It was then that the Lord stated the greatest revelation; Behold, I give unto you power…

Dear children, from the moment you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you were given power to exercise dominion over the kingdom of darkness and every negative situation. The problem is that many Christians especially teenagers don’t take cognizance of this fact. They walk around in fear, as if they are at the mercy of circumstances. No! Circumstances are at your mercy. You are the child of the Most High and you have authority to correct every wrong and calm every storm. Therefore, start walking in this realization as from today and use your authority.

Key Point:

Start using the uncommon authority you have in Jesus Christ.

Hymn 10: Onward Christian Soldiers

  1. Onward, Christian soldiers,
    Marching as to war,
    Looking unto Jesus
    Who is gone before;
    Christ, the Royal Master,
    Leads against the foe;
    Forward into battle,
    See his banner go.

Chorus:
Onward, Christian soldiers,
marching as to war,
Looking unto Jesus
Who is gone before.

  1. At the name of Jesus,
    Satan’s host doth flee;
    On then, Christian soldiers,
    On to victory!
    Hell’s foundations quiver
    at the shout of praise;
    Brothers, lift your voices,
    loud your anthems raise!
  2. Like a mighty army
    Moves the church of God;
    Brothers, we are treading
    Where the saints have trod;
    We are not divided;
    All one body we,
    One in hope and
    doctrine, one in charity.
  3. Crowns and thrones may perish,
    Kingdoms rise and wane;
    But the Church of Jesus
    Constant will remain:
    Gates of hell can never
    ‘Gainst that Church prevail;
    We have Christ’s own promise-
    And that cannot fail.
  4. Onward, then, ye people,
    Join our happy throng,
    Blend with ours your
    Voices in the triumph song;
    Glory, praise, and
    Honour, unto Christ the King;
    This through countless ages,
    Men and angels sing.
