“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
Today, the world over, we celebrate the arrival of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God and our soon coming King. It is so interesting that today, many are busy arguing about the exact date; beloved, it is not about December 25, it is about the undeniable fact that Jesus was born. He came into this world, lived, died and rose again. So it is not about the date, but about the event. On a lighter note, the interesting thing is that, if you are observant, you will notice that something in the atmosphere changes on the 25th of December. Even creation honours the fact that we celebrate the arrival of Jesus today.
Don’t get hung on the date, get hooked on the event – not only was a child born, but a Son is given. Jesus was not only born today, He is a gift to us. He is the priceless gift that we can never repay. He came to take our place; He died that we may never die again. Beloved, what an awesome gift He is.
When you get a gift that you truly value, what do you do with it? First, you are proud to tell everyone that cares to hear about your gift; are you proud about Jesus? Are you ready to tell the world about Him? If you are not proud of Him, then you don’t know His value.

Secondly, when you get a gift you value, you do not throw it around anyhow. You guard it. In the same way, Jesus is the Word of God, so guard Him in your heart. Give Him exclusive right to your life. Let Him lead you every step of the way.
The scripture above did not stop at a child being born, it went further to say a Son is given. Jesus has been given to you as a gift. Share Him with every person you come across and watch the world become a better place.
