Untouchable Blessing

23rd November 2022

Scripture Reading: Genesis 37: 3-9

Focus

“Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colours.” (Genesis 37: 3)

It is instructive to observe that Joseph’s brothers took away his coat of many colours at some point. They took the manifestation of what was already inside of him; they took the evidence of his favour, but he still became all that he was destined to become. They took the physical manifestation of his blessing, but his blessing kept resonating. They saw the garment, they snatched it from him, but they didn’t take his place in destiny.

Friend, men may take your ‘coat of many colours’, but they cannot touch your blessings. Men may take away some of your results; they may take away some of your possessions; they may steal some of your clients; they may bad-mouth you in the ears of your helpers; they may do whatever they wish with your ‘coat of many colours’, but they cannot tamper with what heaven has made available to you. They cannot kill your blessing.

Some people may have seen the manifestation of your blessing and they have come to fight you; but God says, even when they take manifestations of your blessing, they cannot touch your blessing, they cannot take what God has planted inside of you, they cannot take your place in destiny, they cannot access the future that God has reserved for you, and ultimately they cannot steal, exchange or divert your God given destiny.

Men may fight for the position you are occupying, they may fight you because of your material possessions, they may come for you because you are preferred above them, they may even hate you because of the favours you have received from God and from men, but that is the much they can do: they cannot take your blessing. Your blessing is divinely secure, and when men take the tangible manifestations, God will bring more.

Don’t lose sleep on account of those who hate you because of your ‘coat of many colours’. You are worth more than your ‘coat’; you are worth more than your material possessions; you are more than whatever position you occupy. Your blessing is untouchable.
