VERILY, VERILY (1)

John 14:12-13 (KJV), John 14:12 (GNB)

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father…whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. *I am telling you the truth: those who believe in me will do what I do—yes, they will do even greater things, because I am going to the Father.

Today, we continue looking at more assurances that we have from God’s word and this time, our focus is on the words that Jesus Himself said. In our text above, Jesus assured us that by believing in Him, we will be empowered to do the works that He did and even greater works. This assurance is not for only pastors and spiritual leaders, but for everyone who believes in Jesus. He said you will function like Him and you will do great exploits as He did. Accept it, it is your reality already and the more you are conscious of it, the more it becomes your experience.

Jesus promised to return to the Father, but in order to do so, He had to suffer and die on the Cross first. He also stated that His going to the Father will allow Him to send His Spirit to reside in us (John 16:7). Because of what He did for you on the Cross and the Holy Spirit that now lives in you, you are empowered to live and function like Jesus. Jesus is currently interceding for you in Heaven (Heb.7:25). (Heb.6:13-15)

Therefore, because Jesus said it and because of all He did on the Cross for you, and His Spirit that is in you, and the fact that He is interceding for you, then, you have no reason to fail. Live with this assurance.

Faith Declaration:
I am empowered to live and function like Jesus in every area of my life. I have no reason to fail. I do exploits always.
