“WAIT FOR GOD”

READ: Matthew 1:18-25

“And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation” – Isaiah 25:9

Joseph received the light of God and did not have sexual relations with Mary until she had given birth to Jesus. This task was achieved by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will give you guidance about your sexual life. The Holy Spirit will give you the light and the grace to wait for certain things to come in their season. Life on earth is made up of seasons. Nothing goes on forever. Everything has a season and every season has an end. It may seem dark. It may seem difficult. Joseph’s season of difficulty would soon come to an end. Learn to wait for God! Receive the light of what to do in each season.

Your life before your marriage is one of the seasons of life. Within your marriage, there are also seasons. When your marriage is finally over, another season will begin.

Joseph’s life was dedicated to the purposes of God. Jesus was to be birthed into this world to save mankind from their sins. Joseph submitted his personal happiness and ambitions to God’s higher purposes.

It is time to accept God’s great purposes. What is God’s purpose today? The salvation of the world! The great purpose of God is that His Gospel should be preached throughout all the world. God’s purposes are revealed in His Word.

Joseph’s life had to fit into the purposes of God. Joseph received light to flow in the higher purposes of God. Dear friend, it is time that you believed that God’s will is what is going to happen. God’s Word will come to pass whether you believe it or not: Isaiah 14:26-27.
