WALK IN FAITH

Scripture Reading: JOSHUA 2: 1-24, 6: 22-24

Focus

“And she said, According unto your words, so be it. And she sent them away, and they departed: and she bound the scarlet line in the window.” (Joshua 2: 21)

Hebrews 11 vs. 31 has this to say about Rahab: “By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace”. So whereas it would appear that Rahab was simply favoured to escape the destruction that befell the inhabitants of Jericho, she actually had faith for it. She believed in what seemed impossible. She believed that God would do for her what she did not even deserve.

Friend, in this season and beyond, dare to believe. Walk in faith. Believe God for the impossible. Believe God for the unbelievable. Believe God for what you think you are not prepared for or qualified for. Believe God for the doors and gates He alone is able to make open to you. Believe God for the portions that are reserved for kings and nobles. Believe God for a place in high places. Believe God for that opportunity that seems beyond you.

Rahab was not even qualified to believe, but she dared to believe God for the impossible. Sometimes, it may seem that you are not qualified for what you want to believe God for, but dare to believe against all odds. Believe even when you think you have not done well. Believe God even when it seems the factors are not in your favour. Believe God even when it seems you are about to be disappointed. Believe even when you have nothing to hold on to and cast your faith on.

Rahab believed, and her faith took her into the genealogy of Christ. Her faith carried her into heights that she would never have attained. As surely as the Lord lives, your faith will carry you into high places. Your faith will break impossibilities for you. Your faith will open the doors and gates of nations to you. Your faith will make you whole of every plague. Your faith will cause you to obtain a good report. Your faith will work for you.

Don’t let the voice of doubts drown the voice of your faith. Believe God, believe against all odds, and your faith will work in your favour.
