WALK UPON YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES

“For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.” Psalm 18:29 (KJV)

Child of God, you have been given dominion and authority to walk upon your circumstances. You are not supposed to cower in the face of challenge and opposition, rise up and confront your confrontations for with God, nothing is impossible.

In the book of Matthew 14:22-33, Jesus asked His disciples to get on the ship and go ahead of Him to the other side. It is important to note that the disciples embarked on this trip at the instruction of Jesus. Midway into the trip, they experienced some major turbulence. Their ship was tossed about because of the high winds. This shows you that sometimes, even when you make a move based on an instruction, you can still encounter challenges along the way. These challenges often come to shake our faith but nevertheless, the contrary wind is never the end of the story.

In the midst of the storm, the One who gave the instruction showed up. Jesus is dependable! He is reliable! Once He gives an instruction, you can trust Him, that no matter the opposition, He will be right there to deliver you. He will never ever leave you nor forsake you. Isaiah 43:2 tells us: “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee…” (KJV)

The book of Matthew 14:25 informs us that Jesus went toward the disciples, walking on the sea. He walked on the very thing that was tossing them about. After the disciples confirmed that it was Jesus, Peter immediately asked Jesus to also ask him to come unto Him. Then Jesus commanded Peter to come, and Peter also walked on the very thing that created so much turbulence for them.

Child of God, It is possible to walk upon your challenges. Always remember that as a believer, you are not subject to your circumstances. Rather, your circumstances are subject to you. If only you can believe, nothing shall be impossible.
