WE ARE IN THE DAY OF HIS POWER

Psalms 110:1-3 (NKJV)

The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power; In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth.

In our text above, David was prophesying by the Spirit about what God the Father will say to Jesus after Jesus rises from the dead and returns to Heaven. Hebrews 1:13 shows us that God actually said this.

Why did God the Father tell Jesus to sit at His right hand till he makes His enemies His footstool? Jesus is the Head and we are the Body, (Col.1:18, Eph.5:30). By His death, burial and resurrection, Jesus has conquered the devil and all His enemies. Now, God the Father is empowering every part of the Body of Christ (the church) to exercise the victory of Jesus, so that the devil and all the enemies that Jesus has conquered will be under the lowest part (feet) of the Body of Christ (Eph.1:22-23). The same power in the Head flows in the Body.

We are in the day of the power of Christ. The word ‘day’ here means dispensation or era. This is not the day of Elijah or any other person, (Luke 7:28). This is the day of Christ and His saints – the church. The power of Christ is filling us and through us the power of Christ is manifesting and filling the earth to advance the kingdom of God. From us (the Church), God is extending the royal power of Christ and we are ruling and exercising the dominion of Christ in the midst of all His enemies (the devil, sin, sickness, poverty and all evil).

Faith Declaration:
The same power that flows in Christ flows in me. I always manifest and exercise the power and dominion of Christ.
