We Matter to God
July 12, 2022
“How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are thinking about me constantly! I can’t even count how many times a day your thoughts turn toward me. And when I waken in the morning, you are still thinking of me!” – Psalm 139:17-18 (TLB)
A trifle is something of little value or importance. Sadly, many people feel like they are “trifles.” They believe their lives are insignificant, without any real purpose or value. I once read a little phrase that has stuck in my mind. It said: When a king picks up a trifle; it is no longer a trifle. Did you catch that? You and I have been picked up by a King who has forgiven us, cleaned us up, and brought us back into a relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
As we learn to live for God in every moment of every day, we realize our significance, our value, our importance to Him. Because when a king – THE King – picks up a trifle, it is no longer a trifle – it becomes a TREASURE!
