WHAT COMES TO YOUR MIND FIRST?

Romans 10:6-9 (NIV)

…“Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’(…to bring Christ down) “or ‘Who will descend into the deep?”(…to bring Christ up…). But what does it say? “The word is near you…in your mouth and in your heart,”…the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

What is the first thing that comes to your mind whenever you have any challenge or you are in any difficult situation? Is it how terrible the situation is? Or who will help you out of it? Or how it has affected others? Or the reason why it may be happening?

Thinking about any of these things is not going to help you come out of that situation. The first thing that should come to your mind is what the word of God says about you. Think of God’s word and declare God’s word over your life and that situation. Remember God’s promises to you and begin to thank God for them and declare them. Focus on Christ and all He has done for you to be saved, to have victory and experience God’s glory and power in your life and declare your victory. You have to train yourself to do this always. Even if something else comes to your mind at first, quickly change it and put God’s word and His promises back on your mind and on your mouth.

God is one with His word and He does all things by His word, (John 1:1-3). Our text above shows us that we don’t even need anyone to bring Christ physically into our situation, because Christ and His word are one. Declaring the word of God in that situation will have the same impact as Jesus physically being there with you.

Faith Declaration:
In every situation I find myself, the first thing that always comes to my mind is God’s word and I declare it boldly.
