WHAT DIRECTION IS YOUR LIFE GOING?

PROVERBS 4:23 (NLT), PHILIPPIANS 4:8 (LB)

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. *And now, brothers, as I close this letter, let me say this one more thing: Fix your thoughts on what is true and good and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely, and dwell on the fine, good things in others. Think about all you can praise God for and be glad about.

The fact that God wants your life to go in a certain way is not a guarantee that your life will go in that particular way. It is the way you think that ultimately determines the way that your life goes. Until you think the way God wants you to think, your life will not go the way God wants your life to go.

Do you know that God has so many wonderful thoughts concerning your life? (Psa.139:17-18) What type of things do you think God is thinking about you right now? (Isa.55:8-9). Those are the same things you should be thinking of. Whatever anybody thinks and says about you is not as important as what God is thinking and saying about you. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” The end that God has in mind for your life is Christ. God wants your life to align and conform to Christ, (Rom.8:29). God does not want your life to conform to this world. That is why He has made you like Christ and He has given you the mind of Christ, (1 Cor.2:16). God wants you to think like Christ. As you continue to think, talk and act in line with what God has done for you through Christ, your life will be transformed into God’s desire for your life, (Rom.12:2).

FATHER, I THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL THOUGHTS YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT ME. HELP ME TO KNOW AND THINK ONLY THOSE THOUGHTS.
