“The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?”
John 4:11 KJV

In her interaction with Jesus, the Samaritan woman recognized that there was water in the well, but the well was deep. Water represents so many things in the scriptures. It represents abundant life, eternal life, the Holy Spirit, prosperity, joy and many more. We need all these in life and they are available. But the problem is that it’s not close to the surface. It is deep!

As believers, our ‘well’ is within us. Everything that will make you successful and become all that God has ordained for you is already inside you the day you received Jesus into your heart. Christ in you is the hope of glory-joyful and confident expectation. In other words, you have the potential and it is bound to happen.

The believer is not supposed to be sad. When you truly understand what it is to be a believer in Christ you would not have to be sad. Anytime you feel sad, know that you have forgotten the promise because Jesus said these things, I have spoken to you that your joy might be full. (John 15:11). When you have the Word, you have your reality already. That is the victory before the victory.

The well is deep, but the water has to be drawn out. That is where you need a father and a mentor. That is where you need the fivefold ministry to help draw it out (Ephesians 4:11-12). You have the blessing. You have the promises made over your life, but they have to be drawn out. It has to be revealed! You have to be made to see it, otherwise, you would go without what God has prepared for you. That is why Paul prayed for the Church, that the eyes of our understanding be enlightened (flooded with light) in order for us to know the hope of His calling, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints and the exceeding greatness of His power towards us who believe. (Ephesians 1:18-19).
