What is that Challenge Before You?

Zechariah 4:6-7 (NKJV), 1 Samuel 17:26 (NKJV)
“This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts. ‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” *Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, “What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

As a believer in Christ, your victory in life is not dependent on your physical ability, qualification or connection. Rather, your victory is guaranteed by the grace and power of the Spirit of God. You are not trying to gain victory. You are already victorious because the fight has been fixed! Christ has won the victory for you already. In all this things, you are more than conquerors through Him that loved you (Rom.8:37). This is why you must never be intimidated by any challenge before you. Jesus implored us to “be of good cheer” because “(He) has overcome the world” (John 16:33).

Do not allow yourself to entertain any seeds of doubt concerning your ability to complete that project or successfully accomplish that desire because of the challenge. Like God said to Zerubbabel, you will finish up well and you will shout grace twice. Listen, Romans 8:31 assures us that “…If God be for us who can be against us?” Because God is on your side, the ‘CV’ of your challenge does not matter, so do not be afraid. Like our first text above says, “even though it is a great mountain or challenge, it will be leveled to the ground”. Goliath size and armour were insignificant. He fell flat on the ground before David. Even if the walls before you are as thick as the walls of Jericho, they will all come crumbling down before you or you will leap over them (Psa.18:29). Even if you are surrounded like the Syrian army surrounded Elisha and Gehazi, you will prevail over that challenge like Elisha prevailed over the Syrian army (2Kings 6:15-18). Elisha was confident that ‘they that are with us are more than they that are with them.’ God’s power with you far out weighs the power backing that challenge. In Christ you are unstoppable.

Faith Declaration:
I already have the victory through Christ. The power of God at work in me out weighs the limited power backing that challenge. I win by the Spirit.
