WHAT IS YOUR MIND FULL OFF?

HEBREWS 11:13 & 15 (TPT) These heroes all died still clinging to their faith, not even receiving all that had been promised them. But they saw beyond the horizon the fulfillment of their promises and gladly embraced it from afar. They all lived their lives on earth as those who belonged to another realm. *And if their hearts were still remembering what they left behind, they would have found an opportunity to go back.

There are so many wonderful lessons we can learn from the lives of the Old Testament saints referenced in our text above – especially, their attitude towards the word and promises of God.

(1) They never gave up on their faith. They believed in God and what God told them and they held on to it to the end. The 3 Hebrew boys knew God could save them and they decided to honour God till the end even if they lost their lives by standing for Him, (Dan.3:16-18).

(2) They saw beyond their present circumstances. They saw (clear pictures of) the fulfillment of God’s promises to them and they gladly embraced it. They embraced it as their new reality. The King James Version says they were persuaded of it. It was more real to them than what they were experiencing physically.

(3) They were not thinking of their past or where they were coming from. The King James Version says, “And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.” Their minds were so full of God and the promises of God, so there was no going back or giving up. Fill your mind with God’s truth and promises till it takes over your mind.

PRAYER:
Father, help me to fill myself with your truth and promises, till they take over my mind. Help me see and embrace your promises.
