WHAT NAME WILL YOU CALL IT?
Genesis 1:26 (AMPC) Genesis 2:19 (AMPC) God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. *And out of the ground the Lord God formed every [wild] beast and living creature of the field and every bird of the air and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatever Adam called every living creature, that was its name.

After God made all the animals, He could have named them on His own, but He brought them to Adam for him to name them. God didn’t just bring them for him to name them, God wanted to see what he would name them. The same way God looked at all He had made and saw it was good, God also wanted to ‘see’ if Adam would give them the right names or call them the same names He had in mind. It so happened that Adam passed the test. God did not need to change any name Adam gave them, because Adam called it the correct names God had in mind. He called them the same names God had in mind when He was creating them.
Why was this possible? Adam could give the animals the same name God had in mind for them, because before his fall, Adam was in perfect alignment and oneness with God. He was in sync and agreement with God on the inside and he could work out God’s will on the earth as it is in Heaven. The Bible says, “can two walk together except they be agreed” (Amos 3:3).
Now, the good news is that because of Jesus, we have been restored into alignment and oneness with God. As such we can see things, call them and relate to them the same way God does, because we are in sync and in agreement with God on our inside. We have the mind of Christ (1Cor.2:16). By the Spirit of God in us, we have access to the deep things on the mind of God. We have the ability to know what is on God’s mind and we have the ability to call things and speak the way God wants us to as the Holy Spirit teaches us, (1Cor.2:10-13). You can work out what God has worked into you, because by His Spirit, God is at work in you, making you willing and able to do His good will, (Phil.2:12-13). God has confidence in you. Rely on His leading as you speak and talk about things.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I thank you for restoring me back to oneness and alignment with you. Help me to see and react to things like you do.
