When Lot Is Separated

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Micah 5-7

TEXT: “And the LORD said unto Abram, after they Lot was separated from him, Life up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever”.
Genesis 13 :14 – 15.

Lot is an unnecessary weight on a man’s destiny which slow or stagnant his journey. There are things God wants you to go through in life as divine training and in them you grow through progressing on your journey. So also, there are things God did not intend for you to go through such as the likes of Lot and Jonah with you, but you brought them upon yourself because of sentiment and spiritual insensitivity thereby undoing yourself.

From the experience of Abram, when Lot separates from you, you experience divine remembrance. Lot with Abram shut his door from divine remembrance. Matters of the greatness God has destined for him never came up. He never had another encounter with God when he journeyed with Lot. Though he enjoyed God’s deliverance when God plagued Pharaoh and his house because of Sarai his wife (Gen. 12 :17), but not receiving a definite instruction from God. But when Lot was separated, divinity remembered him and the voice of God came to him, “And the LORD said unto him” giving him instructions that will advance his destiny.

Child of God, you must be very sensitive to separate Lot from you, otherwise, you will never achieve your best in God. A progressive life in the kingdom is a product of the voice of God issuing divine commands. So whatever or whoever is an obstacle to your enjoying the presence and guidance of divinity should be separated from you.

I pray for you, may your eyes be opened to always identify Lot and separate to yourself from them.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray now, open my eyes to identify Lot (s) and empower me to separate from them…
