When You Know Judas

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Genesis 9-12
TEXT: “Then one of the twelve, called judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenants with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.” – Matthew 26 :14 – 16
It is one thing not to know the judas around your life and you are praying to God to expose them and another thing all together to know the Judas around your life and yet lack the wisdom on how to operate with them. You may say our Lord and master Jesus had Judas among His twelve disciples and he was even the treasurer.
That is very correct, but what was the outcome of having Judas? He betrayed the master and was even reported as a thief in scripture when he stated that the pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly that the woman Mary anointed the feet of Jesus with should have been sold and the money given to the poor. Scripture says, “This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.” John 12 :6.
Our master and savior Jesus was born to die, that was his destiny. That was why even when he knew Judas, He still accommodated him because he was born to die. There was a time he even gave Judas a direct prophecy to his face that he was the one that would betray him.” Matt. 26 :23 – 25.
Notwithstanding, Judas proceeded with the mission of betrayal. Jesus did not stop him because He was destined to die young so we might live long.
In your case, are you also destined to die young whom Christ redeemed from death with his life? If Yes, when you know Judas, still embrace him close. But if No, when you know Judas, operate with him from a distance, not intimately. Shield your secrets from him because your destiny cannot be sold. Mind you, you do not hate Judas, you love him with the love of Christ, but your destiny is not for sell.
PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to operate in life with wisdom. I refuse to die young, in Jesus name..
