WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR WORTH AND VALUE FROM?

PSAMLS 87:3 (NIV), 1PETER 2:9, LUKE 17:28 (NIV) Glorious things are said of you, O city of God: Selah *But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: *I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”

As a child of God, where you get your sense of worth and value from is very important. When He was on the earth, Jesus got His sense of worth and value straight from God the Father. 2 Peter 1:17 says about Jesus that, “… he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him, I am well pleased.” The first time God made this statement to Jesus in Luke 3:22, Jesus had not even begun His ministry or done any mighty works. You are valuable and special to God not because of the things you have done but because of whom God has made you and how God has chosen to see you. God has made you His beloved child just like Jesus is, (1 John 3:1).

Stop looking for things and people to make you feel valuable. Grow in your understanding of how valuable you are in the eyes of God. As you do this, you will be more whole and complete as a person and you will manifest God’s wholeness and fullness in every area of your life. You are so valuable and special to God that God was willing to sacrifice Jesus just to get you. You are as valuable to God as Jesus is to God. God loves you just as He loves Jesus (John 17:23) and Jesus has sent you into the world just as the Father sent Him, (John 20:21). God has the same confidence in you that He has in Jesus.

FAITH DECLARATION:
I am special and valuable to God just as Jesus is to God. My sense of worth and value come from being God’s child.
