WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?

Luke 8:23-25a (GNB)

As they were sailing, Jesus fell asleep. Suddenly a strong wind blew …and the boat began to fill with water, so that they were all in great danger. The disciples …woke him up, saying, “Master, Master! We are about to die!” Jesus got up and gave an order to the wind and to the stormy water; they quieted down, and there was a great calm. Then he said to the disciples, “Where is your faith?”….

One reason why we sometimes panic or worry over certain challenges or situations is because they come unexpectedly. Sometimes, we feel that those unexpected situations are more than what we can handle but that is a lie of the devil, (1Cor.10:13). Another mistake we make is sometimes, we allow what we are facing make us confess negatively. Our faith is greatly reflected by what we believe and say, (2Cor.4:13).

What are you saying right now about that situation you are facing? Have you forgotten God’s word to you about your life and that situation? Have you forgotten who is with you in that situation? Have you forgotten that it is in God that you live and move and have your being? Do not allow anxiety over that situation to overwhelm you. God does not want us to worry about ANY situation. Instead, He wants us to pray in faith about it. As you pray with faith and thanksgiving, God will fill your life with His peace, (Phil.4:6-7). Manifest the faith of Christ. What will Christ do or how will He pray in such a situation?

Have faith in God’s love and willingness to intervene in your situation. Faith is not you trying to make God do something that He does not want to do. Faith is you, aligning with God to receive what He wants to give you. Cast all your cares on God, for He cares for you, (1Pet.5:7).

Prayer:
Father, I thank you that you are always with me. I ask that you manifest your power and glory in my life and situation.
