TOPIC: Who Is Your Company? (3)
DAILY BIBLE READING: Isaiah 39-41
TEXT: “And the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the
house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. And the same man had four daughters,
virgins, which did prophesy.” Acts 21 :8 – 9.

From the statement of our anchor text, you can imagine the kind of believers in Paul’s company because of the person of
Apostle Paul. Also you can see the kind of man’s home they came to abode in Caesarea. It was the house of Philip the
evangelist which was one of the seven appointed to take care of the needs of the widows in Acts chapter 6, and he did a
lot of exploits for the Lord in subsequent chapters. More so, as they came to his home, they observed that he had four daughter, virgins which did prophesy. Who are your companions? If people mentioned that they were of your company what will come to people’s mind? Your assessment in life cannot be different from the company you keep. The company of Apostle Paul, Peter, John etc will be addressed as being like them because of the persons they were. So also, the company of Judas Iscariot, Gehazi, Achan, etc because of the persons they were. Scripture reports about Peter and John saying “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled and they took knowledge of them that they had been with Jesus” Act 4 :13. Because they were with Jesus. a man with divine qualities, his nature rubbed off on them. You cannot keep company with the master and not be like him. Whoever fellowships with the Spirit, spending time in the presence of God, interwine with Him. The reason Judas Iscariot remained the way he was, was because of divided attention. While he was with Jesus, he was also keeping company with the agents of darkness. I challenge you to deliberately choose the company you keep so you can have a happy ending.

PRAYER: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to keep the right company, in Jesus Mighty Name. It Might Be
