Why We Are Not Ashamed of the Gospel of Christ

Romans 1:16 (TPT, CEV & GNB)
I refuse to be ashamed of the wonderful message of God’s liberating power unleashed in us through Christ! For I am thrilled to preach that everyone who believes is saved—the Jew first, and then people everywhere! *I am proud of the good news! It is God’s powerful way of saving all people who have faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles. *I have complete confidence in the gospel; it is God’s power to save all who believe, first the Jews and also the Gentiles.

When we have the right perspective of the gospel of Christ, instead of being ashamed or afraid to proclaim and share it with others, we will joyfully and eagerly run with it and declare it to others via every means possible. The Bible says, “And how can the message be proclaimed if the messengers are not sent out? As the scripture says, “How wonderful is the coming of messengers who bring good news!” (Rom.10:15, GNB). Have you ever seen someone who is ashamed or afraid to break good news unto others, especially when it is news that will greatly benefit those it is being shared with?

We are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it is good news from God! It is something that will greatly benefit everyone it is shared with. The gospel of Christ is not just good news; it is the power of God unto salvation. As people hear the gospel and believe it, the power of God to set them free and bless them in every area of their lives is activated. The gospel is all about Jesus! When you have a revelation of Jesus and all He has done, you cannot keep the gospel to yourself. You will want to tell as many people as possible about Him so they too can experience His amazing love, it is by the preaching of the gospel or the proclaiming of the love and power of God in Christ Jesus that God has determined to save and manifest His power in the lives of men (1Cor.1:21). The gospel is about the grace of God (Acts 20:24). The grace of God is the love and kindness of God. It is only by the grace of God that we are saved and we experience God’s power (Eph.2:5 & 8). It is the knowledge of the grace of God that puts faith in our hearts. Apostle Paul confessed that he was everything that he was by the grace of God (1Cor.15:10).

Prayer Focus:
Thank God for the privilege He has given you to know the gospel and to share it with others. Tell God to make you a vessel to share the gospel today.
